What is a ‘Perpetual’ award?
This is a cup, trophy, or shield, which is kept year-on-year and engraved annually, or more regularly (if applicable), with that year’s winner of the award.  In addition that person would be awarded a replica trophy, which they keep, whilst handing back the perpetual award in 12 months time.

I am sick of chasing people to return the cups they were previously awarded, what can I do?
We recommend being stricter and setting clear boundaries up-front with club members i.e. by attaching words like the following to the award on presentation: -
You have accepted this club cup on the following conditions: -

1. You will return it in its current state/condition;
2. You will pass the award to the appointed club rep. (currently ??) during the month of August, in the year following its presentation to you.
3. You understand if we, the club, have to chase your commitment here, it causes extra work on volunteers in your club, so you will do ‘your bit for the club’;
4. Late return will involve the club in extra engraving charges, which you will be expected to pay.

How can I ensure we get the best engraving deal?
Always label your perpetual awards with the engraving you require i.e. 2008 A.Winner, ensuring this label is securely attached. Give us at least one weeks notice for small numbers of cups, then you'll qualify for our lowest engraving tariff. You help us and we’ll help you!

For bulk ‘Perpetual’ engravings, of Cups we require: -

• more than 20 cups at a time to be here for a minimum of 3 Wednesdays;
• more than 30 cups four Wednesdays, 40+ five.
